CCN Health and ALIS Partner to Bring Contactless Vital Sign Monitoring to Senior Living

CHICAGO, IL — May 27, 2026 — ALIS, a complete software for assisted living, memory care, and independent living communities, today announced a new integration with CCN Health to bring contactless, radar-based vital sign monitoring directly into the ALIS EHR. The integration leverages an FDA-cleared 60GHz ultra-wideband radar sensor that continuously captures heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep patterns, and room presence without requiring residents to wear or operate any device.

Reaching Residents Who Were Previously Unreachable

By eliminating the need for wearables, blood pressure cuffs, or other patient-operated equipment, the integration enables communities to extend Remote Patient Monitoring programs to residents who were previously unreachable — particularly those in memory care settings where cognitive decline makes traditional device-based monitoring difficult. Vitals are captured passively, around the clock, preserving resident dignity while giving clinical staff continuous visibility into changes that may indicate infection, respiratory distress, or declining health.

“The biggest barrier to RPM adoption in memory care has always been device compliance,” said Cosmo Cochrane, Founder of CCN Health. “You cannot ask a resident with advanced dementia to put on a blood pressure cuff twice a day. By integrating contactless monitoring directly into ALIS, we’ve removed that barrier entirely. Communities can now monitor their most vulnerable residents continuously, without adding any burden to the resident or the care staff.”

How the Integration Works

The integration syncs resident demographics between ALIS and CCN Health to avoid duplicate entry, routes continuous vital sign data and threshold-based alerts into ALIS resident charts, and generates time-stamped clinical documentation. When synced, information is added to CCN Health’s portal, which supports CPT-based billing for codes 99453, 99454, 99457, and 99458.

“This partnership with CCN Health brings passive, contactless monitoring data directly into ALIS workflows,” said John Shafaee, CEO and Co-Founder of ALIS. “The integration helps staff access more timely information while reducing operational complexity.”

“Our integration with ALIS is already seamless — what excites us now is going deeper,” said Alex Wheeler, CEO of CCN Health. “We’re building toward a tighter connection where clinical insights, alerts, and care documentation all flow natively through the ALIS system.”
